Saffirio Josetta


In 1977 Ernesto Saffirio encouraged his daughter Josetta, teacher at the School of Enology in Alba, and Roberto Vezza, also an enologist, to take over the care for his vines planted in Castelletto, part of Montforte d’Alba Barolo appellation. After several years of work the ambitious aim of producing a great Barolo came into closer reach as the two were finally able to make a Barolo in 1985 for the first time under their own label.
